Sorry I’ve been away. It’s good to be back.
Wow, it’s good to be back!
CBS 2 HD’s Christine Sloan has filed a two-and-a-half-minute video report on the deaths of two concert-goers who attended the Ozzfest 2007 show at the PNC Bank Arts Center Thursday night (August 16) in Holmdel, New Jersey. Watch the report at this location.
Patrick Norris, 24, of Coram, and 27-year-old Raymond Guarino, of Forked River, were identified as the two victims, whose deaths are believed to be drug and alcohol related. Paramedics were initially able to resuscitate Guarido after he fell unconscious, but he later died at a local hospital.
Both had passed out during the show.
“From what I heard it was a combination of drugs, alcohol, and caffeine … in the one death. I’m not aware of the second one that happened late last night,” said Joe Orlando, a spokesman for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which owns the land the venue sits on.
Officials say last night more than 80 people were arrested for underage drinking and drug possession. More than 200 people have been arrested during shows at the venue over the past 10 days.

What’s Up With Ozzfest?
Janesville, WI’s Janesville Gazette reports that Walworth County deputies and the county drug enforcement unit issued 69 tickets for possession of marijuana at Sunday’s (August 12) Ozzfest concert at Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy, Wisconsin.
The drug unit ticketed 58 people and recovered 189 grams of the drug. The unit also ticketed five for possession of drug paraphernalia and one for disorderly conduct.
One subject was arrested for having a felony warrant out of Texas, according to the sheriff’s department.
Patrol deputies ticketed 23 people for underage possession of alcohol, 11 for marijuana possession, three for disorderly conduct, four for possession of drug paraphernalia and two for speeding. Three were arrested on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct.
Deputies also took one report of a fourth-degree sexual assault, one for hit-and-run and one for vandalism. Arrests were not made regarding those reports.

Does Ozzfest have a curse?
There seems to be some sort of curse on Ozzfest this year. Even though Ozzfest may be free, it has cost two peopletheir lives. Well, I can’t blame it on the festival actually. It turns out that before the Tinley Park, Illinois Ozzfest concert, a 15 year old girl was killed in a car accident on her way to Ozzfest on August 10th. And then, an Illinois man was struck by a truck and killed after the Indianapolis, Indiana show. So what does this mean? It’s quite a coincidence that both of the fans were from Illinois, and they were either leaving or going to Ozzfest. Is there a possibility that Ozzfest is cursed, or is it the Illinois fans. ATTENTION ALL OZZFEST ATTENDEES: PAIN WAVERS WILL NOW BE SIGNED AT THE FRONT GATE SO IF YOU DIE, YOU CAN”T BLAME SHARON OR OZZY. NOT EVEN ZAKK!
Kissology Vol. 2
My god, this has to be the funniest Kiss footage ever. Ace Frehley is so fucking funny, I love it. Also, while watching the interesting but cheesy movie “Kiss in Attack of the Phantoms”, I couldn’t help but laugh. But once you get passed that, there is some seriously cool live footage. Any Kiss Army member must go buy this. If you liked Kissology Vol. 1, you’ll love Vol. 2. GO BUY IT!
Video footage of OZZY OSBOURNE’s surprise concert last night (Monday, August 13) on the stage above the Hard Rock Café at New York City’s Times Square can be viewed below. The performance was shrouded in secrecy since making it public would have required getting a permit to shut down Times Square, which would literally have cost millions. The Ozzman led off with “I Don’t Wanna Stop”, which is featured in the Madden NFL 08 game. After some typical Ozzy-isms (“I can’t fuckin’ hear you, New York!”), he went into “Crazy Train”. The set finished with “Black Rain“’s opener, “Not Going Away”.
Check out pictures from the event at The Syndicate Blog.
OZZY OSBOURNE’s latest album, “Black Rain”, is being reissued today (Tuesday, August 14) by Epic in a new jewel-case package containing the full booklet with lyrics and new color cover art and photos. It will also contain CD extra bonus content featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the “Black Rain” photo shoot.

The trek will feature founding VAN HALEN members David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen and Alex Van Halen, with Eddie’s son Wolfgang on bass.
VAN HALEN last toured in 2004 with vocalist Sammy Hagar, grossing nearly $40 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.
Wolfgang Van Halen, the projected replacement for VH bassist Michael Anthony, told People magazine in April 2007 that he wasn’t disappointed there wasn’t’ going to be a VAN HALEN tour this summer following his father’s decision to check himself into rehab. “My dad’s taking care of himself,” he said. “I also think I’m too young for the experience, because I know there are a lot of bad things out there.”
Eddie Van Halen issued a statement addressed to fans in early March announcing that he was seeking treatment because “at the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best.
“That’s why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110 percent that I feel I owe you and want to give you,” the statement said.
Back in January, Eddie Van Halen told Rolling Stone magazine about Wolfgang, “Wait until you hear this kid play. I pick him up from school every day and we jam. We’ve got a shredding bass player now that’s laying down the law for Alex [Van Halen, drums], so I get to weave in and out.”
VAN HALEN was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March.

After a long ass nine hour drive from New Orleans, LA to Dallas, TX, a rodeo, and driving around Dallas for hours, I finally saw one of the greatest bands ever live. The concert was amazing, and for someone seeing Rush for the first time EVER, they really put on a show for me to remember. They played some of their greatest hits, including Limelight, Subdivisions, Tom Sawyer, YYZ, The Spirit of Radio (which was my favorite of the night), A Passage to Bancock, Witch Hunt, and many more. And since they were on tour to promote their new album “Snakes and Arrows”, they played nearly half of the album. I’ll have to give to “The Main Monkey Business” and “Far Cry” and the best new songs of the night. Not only does Rush sound amazing live, but they put on quite a spectacular. The lights were amazing and with the little pyro they had, they really made it big and loud. They also threw in some surprises to make the crowd laugh. All I have to say was you have to see Rush live one day if you haven’t yet. Ask someone you know who has, or just ask me. They are great. I will never forget the first time I saw Rush.
